Today I felt the sudden urge to eat oatmeal raisin cookies so I decided to make some. They were so delicious and chewy, I’m sure you will love them too! This recipe was adapted from allrecipes.com.
Ingredients
1/2 teaspoon ginger powder or grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
1 egg
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1-1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins

Directions
1. Cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
2. In a separate bowl beat egg.
3. Add egg and raisins to creamed butter mixture.
4. In another bowl mix dry ingredients: flour, oats, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt.
5. Beat butter mixture and dry ingredients together.
6. Scoop unto cookie sheets and bake at 375 degrees F for about 10 minutes until golden brown.
7. Cool, remove from cookie sheets and serve.
