Sesame Ginger Chicken

I made this Sesame Ginger Chicken recipe for you to try.  I did not use any soy sauce in my recipe. Instead I made a ginger sauce which turned out so wonderfully delicious!! Hope you enjoy this oriental twist to chicken.

Ingredients

1 teaspoon molasses
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 Spanish seasoning
1 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/2 cups water
2 teaspoon black pepper
5 chicken breasts (cut into strips)
4 celery stalks (chopped)
1 yellow/green bell pepper
4 tablespoons chopped chives
3 stalks chopped scallions
2 tablespoon grated ginger
2 teaspoons sliced ginger
2 teaspoons duck sauce
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
Directions:
1.  In a small pot combine water, butter, molasses, bullion powder, garlic powder, honey, fresh grated ginger, duck sauce and black pepper.
2.  In a small bowl add cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water. Stir and add to small pot.  Place pot over medium heat until simmering and stir until sauce thickens. Turn off heat and set aside.
3.  Chop all green seasonings (scallions, chives, celery and pepper and set aside).
4.  Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a large skillet and add sliced chicken strips. Fry for 5 to 8 minutes constantly stirring to prevent sticking to skillet and until strips are slightly gold brown.
5.   Sprinkle 1 tsp black pepper in skillet, then add green seasonings and sliced ginger.  Stir fry for about 2 minutes.
6.  Add sauce whilst stirring for about 2 more minutes.  Remove from heat.
7.  Toast sesame seeds in a separate none stick pan for 1 minute on medium heat.  Sprinkle over chicken.
8.  Garnish with more bell peppers and scallions.
Enjoy MN!
